Bristol's Confederate soldier statue needs attention
Commander David Roberts is active in an
effort to restore Bristol's Confederate soldier statue.
The nearly 90-year-old Twin City landmark is deteriorating and needs attention, according to a recently completed assessment.
The Confederate soldier statue near the Bristol train station should be placed beneath some type of covering and possibly moved away from a busy intersection.
Roberts is working with members of the United Daughters of the Confederacy to save the statue.
